Non-Medical Transportation Van Driver

Common Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive wheel chair and gurney passenger van
• Transport clients to and from destinations
• Arrive at destinations on schedule
• Research and plan for traffic, construction and weather delays
• Use navigation applications to determine the best route
• Interact with clients professionally at all times
• Ensure that the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use
• Arrange for vehicle repairs as needed
• Keep mileage records and repair records up-to-date

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Good driving record
• Ability to operate a wheelchair and gurney passenger van
• Proficiency with navigation applications

Qualifications

• Experience driving in urban areas
• Knowledge of local traffic patterns and road conditions
• Excellent communication skills
