About the Role

Intermountain Health Cardiology in Layton, Utah, offers a unique opportunity for a General Cardiologist to play a key role in expanding and shaping cardiovascular services in Davis County. The incoming physician will be instrumental in the continued growth of our Layton clinic and will have the opportunity to help define the long-term vision for cardiology care within this rapidly growing community.

  • Flexible schedule: Choose between a 4-day or 5-day workweek, with compensation aligned to your preferred schedule.
  • Exceptional work-life balance: This is a 100% outpatient position with no hospital call, no clinic call, and no weekend responsibilities.
  • Established APP support: Collaborate with two experienced Advanced Practice Providers who are integral members of the cardiovascular team.
  • Strong specialty collaboration: While serving as the primary cardiologist at the Layton clinic, you will remain connected to our larger cardiovascular program. General cardiologists from Ogden rotate through the clinic regularly to provide additional support and foster collaboration.
  • Future growth opportunities: As cardiovascular services continue to expand in Davis County, plans include regular outreach from our Electrophysiology and Heart Failure specialists, further enhancing the comprehensive care available to patients locally.

This position combines the autonomy of leading a growing practice with the support, resources, and clinical expertise of Intermountain Health's nationally recognized cardiovascular program.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine
  • U.S. ACGME Residency
  • Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Unrestricted Utah MD or DO license or the ability to obtain an unrestricted license
  • Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
  • Minimum of 3 years of practice experience and desire for an outpatient-only position

Pay

The hourly range for this position is $7.25 - $999.99. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
