About the role

The Non-Human Identity (NHI) Solution Architect is responsible for the design, architecture, and strategic direction of the firm's Non-Human Identity capabilities and services. This role serves as the technical authority for securing, governing, and managing non-human identities across the enterprise.

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve the enterprise architecture, strategy, standards, and roadmap for Non-Human Identity capabilities, aligning solutions with business, technology, and cybersecurity objectives.
  • Design secure, scalable, and automated solutions for managing service accounts, machine identities, secrets, certificates, APIs, and cloud-native workloads.
  • Lead architecture reviews and provide technical guidance for enterprise projects involving authentication, identity lifecycle management, privileged access, workload security, and secrets management.
  • Establish governance frameworks, lifecycle controls, and operational standards that ensure non-human identities are securely created, monitored, maintained, and decommissioned.
  • Partner with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, DevOps, Application Development, Risk, and Security teams to integrate identity services into enterprise platforms and delivery pipelines.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with non-human identities while supporting audit, compliance, threat modeling, and security assessment activities.
  • Develop architecture artifacts, implementation guidance, metrics, and reporting that promote consistency, automation, resiliency, and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and technical leader, influencing enterprise standards, mentoring teams, and presenting architectural recommendations to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in technology, cybersecurity, identity security, infrastructure, cloud, or enterprise architecture roles.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience designing enterprise-scale security or identity-related solutions.
  • Strong understanding of Non-Human Identity concepts, including service accounts, machine identities, APIs, bots, certificates, secrets, and workload authentication.
  • Experience developing enterprise architecture standards, roadmaps, and target-state designs.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, application architectures, automation frameworks, and modern authentication technologies.
  • Experience with risk management, security controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

  • Experience leading enterprise Non-Human Identity transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with machine identity management, certificate lifecycle management, secrets management, workload identity security, and privileged access controls.
  • Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and modern cybersecurity architectures.
  • Financial Services or other highly regulated industry experience.
  • Experience operating within Agile and product-centric delivery models.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence technology strategy.

Pay

Compensation provided for using, not obtaining, the rating.

Schedule

Candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week effective June 1, 2026. Before June 1, 2026, candidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office three days per week, with preference for Tuesday through Thursday.
