Non-Forklift/Picker

Primary Responsibilities

• Picking of customer orders throughout the warehouse and handling of boxes & pallets in the staging areas
• Safely maneuvering a cart or pallet jack through limited space areas
• Processing domestic and international small parcel shipments on shipping systems, such as UPS and FedEx
• Manually case pick orders using a walkie rider on a frequent basis
• Operating specific material handling equipment safely and efficiently as required
• Verifying part number and counts of products being shipped
• Handling of product in an efficient, accurate, and safe manner
• Checking or counting products for accuracy and/or damage
• Understanding, supporting, and executing all work in a safe manner using the established procedures
• Performing work following department policies and standards
• Maintaining a high level of productivity and accuracy in completing tasks

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• One (1) year related experience involved in performing work in a warehouse
• Strong attention to detail and written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to bend, push, pull, reach, grab, turn, twist, and/or stoop
• Ability to grab small parts or hand tools with hands

Physical Requirements

• Essential functions of this job require the following minimal physical demands:
• Standing up to 100% of the time comfortably, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Comfortable working in a distribution environment around heavy equipment such as forklifts
• Working with, and coming into contact with, various materials and substances
• Willingness to wear proper safety equipment including safety vest, closed toe shoes, and gloves
• Working temperatures may vary from hot, cold, humid, wet or dry
• Working hours may be extended and weekends may be required in order to meet customer needs

Pay

$15.00 per hour

Schedule

Monday-Friday (9:00 am - 5:30pm) with occasional work on Saturdays as needed
