About the role
MMA is a leading provider of business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions. As a Non-Fleet Sales Representative, you'll play a crucial part in identifying, originating, and closing new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Identify, originate, and close new business opportunities.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of MMA's services and systems.
- Field inbound calls from prospects, completing the application process and answering questions.
- Enter information into Epic and other company systems with attention to detail.
- Review and confirm the accuracy of quotes and coverage completeness.
- Prepare and sell proposals to prospects within set timelines.
- Aid Client Managers with cross-selling opportunities and assist in new business development.
- Solicit new customers from ICC lists and referrals.
- Make outbound calls to prospects and referrals as directed.
- Solve problems by aligning Agency resources with client needs.
- Identify target markets and companies based on their insurance needs.
- Present MMA's services and support lines of coverage at prospect proposals.
- Bring new business prospects to closure.
- Tele-market new client opportunities.
- Contribute positively to client satisfaction and continuously seek ways to improve service.
- Meet performance measures relevant to the job function.
Requirements
- College level education or equivalent business-related experience preferred.
- Appropriate resident and non-resident insurance licenses required by law to transact company insurance business.
- Ability to earn necessary designations (CPCU, STAR) for the position.
- Read and interpret complex documents such as insurance policies, applications, and proposals.
- Show attention to detail.
- Use the telephone effectively for communication with agency personnel and potential clients.
- Be able to use the telephone to solicit new business.
- Have the ability to sit and concentrate for long periods of time.
- Communicate orally and in writing to relay complex information to agency personnel and potential clients.
