About the role

We are looking to hire a highly motivated, best-in-class Non-Destructive Testing Engineer to join our growing Operations Services team. This role is responsible for the non-destructive testing of all data center critical systems including power distribution, mechanical, plumbing, building automation, structural, and all other equipment that supports critical operations. The ideal candidate is highly autonomous, detail-oriented, and possesses strong written and verbal communication skills, with significant experience supporting critical infrastructure. You will design, develop, and deploy innovative solutions to address operational challenges, working both independently and within multi-disciplinary teams.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continual access to the innovation our customers rely on. You’ll collaborate with diverse teams of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to maintain the highest standards for safety, security, and capacity at the lowest possible cost.

Responsibilities

  • Apply non-destructive testing techniques to install, maintain, and troubleshoot all data center critical systems, including power distribution, mechanical, plumbing, building automation, structural, and other supporting equipment.
  • Act as an ambassador for safety within the team and promote safe working practices across the site.
  • Remain cognizant of and comply with all security protocols.
  • Interact daily with engineers, technicians, project managers, and leadership to build and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Ensure consistency in deployed configurations and track exceptions for follow-up.
  • Execute predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Provide support for planned and unplanned outages.
  • Offer cross-functional support for services teams.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience, or 1+ years of data center or mission-critical facilities (e.g., hospital, military facility, public safety facility) experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
  • Expert-level understanding of electrical, mechanical, fire detection, and building automation systems.
  • Experience identifying areas for improvement and acting on data provided by other teams.
  • Critical data center environment experience.

Pay

Starting pay for this position ranges from $32.88 to $57.50 USD hourly, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
