Non-Certified Instructor (K-12)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Implement all components of the NHPS Extended School Year Service.
• Supervise students as assigned in IEP.
• Maintain all required data and record-keeping for summer programming, including a summative student work sample portfolio.
• Instruct students in a classroom setting and foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Monitor and record student attendance.
• Determine and implement classroom management procedures and communicate documented student incidents to building leader.
• Administer mandated assessments and maintain documentation of student progress.
• Maintain professional relationships with building lead, curriculum lead, parents, students, co-workers and other stakeholders.
• Adhere to established laws, policies, rules and regulations, including those policies and procedures adopted by NHPS.
• Effectively use technology to deliver instruction, communicate with stakeholders and work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff and students.
• Communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills and use effective, positive interpersonal skills.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher, or NHPS substitute experience.

Pay

• $17.50 per hour.

Preference

• Preference will be given to applicants who have worked previously in ESY.
