About the role
This position involves driving a company vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) of up to 14,900 lbs to deliver products to customers while adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Commercial or professional driving experience is preferred but not required. Must meet DOT medical requirements.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 AM until completion
- Schedule may change based on business needs
- Overtime may be required
Responsibilities
- Safely drive trucks to customers and meet scheduled delivery times
- Unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand, and place them in designated customer storage areas
- Verify delivery accuracy with customers and obtain required signatures
- Handle collections and payments when applicable
- Provide professional customer service to enhance the customer experience
- Perform all pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 20–80+ lbs repetitively throughout each shift
- Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift)
Requirements
- Register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with proper endorsements if required
- No more than two traffic convictions within the past two years, no DUI convictions within the past three years, and no driver's license suspensions within the past three years
- Must be able to pass a DOT physical
- No commercial or professional driving experience required
- One year of multi-stop delivery experience preferred or six months of local delivery and/or foodservice delivery experience preferred
- Ability to operate a manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations
- Hand cart delivery experience preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Basic math skills
- Must pass pre-employment testing, including a background check
- Knowledge of the local delivery area and map-reading skills preferred
- Ability to use safe lifting and loading techniques
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as business needs require

Pay
The expected base rate for this role is $24.13 per hour, with overtime compensation as applicable. Compensation depends on relevant experience, education, skills, function, and geographic location.
