About the Role

The Full-Service Delivery Merchandiser Non CDL is a touch freight position responsible for delivering and/or merchandising our products to customer locations on designated routes. Duties include delivering and merchandising products to all assigned vending equipment in the territory.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Full-Service processes, rules, and requirements
• Service all scheduled vending machines on daily assigned route to Company standards
• Ensure each vendor is maintained with proper brands, maximizing productivity for space-to-sales ratio
• Utilize handheld computer to generate accurate sales of each machine and record all money collected
• Accurate accounting for all daily money, cases, consignment, and unit transactions
• Foster relationships with account personnel and provide superior customer service
• Ensure neat, clean appearance of all Coca-Cola Vending and brand partner’s equipment and product in assigned accounts
• Execute all merchandising standards on all machines
• Maintain the coin mech/change dispenser at every fill, adjust and clean mechanism to ensure proper working as needed
• Assist in soliciting new accounts and vendor locations to grow route
• Notify Full-Service Management of mechanical problems or changes in account status (e.g., new ownership, account closed, power issues, competitors)
• Provide feedback and recommendations to leadership on competitive threats and business opportunities
• Work with all functional team members and build strong relationships with customer base
• Return all out-of-date products to plant for processing
• Complete end-of-day settlement and paperwork
• Perform duties as assigned by management

Requirements

• Minimum of 21 years old
• Valid driver's license
• DOT Certification required and obligation to maintain compliance with UNITED fleet policy
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by position and compliance with UNITED safety policies
• Regular and prompt attendance is an essential function of the job
• Ability to read, write, and speak English
• Ability to maintain a neat professional appearance within Company guidelines
• Ability to maintain safety and security of Company assets
• Ability to utilize all Company-provided resources and technology
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively in a fast-paced environment
• Less than high school education; or up to 6 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• Ability to write simple correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Problem-solving ability
• Ability to operate a manual or motorized pallet jack
• Ability to respond and resolve customer issues
• Self-motivated with ability to perform job duties with minimal supervision

Physical Requirements

Position will be required to comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program. Safety-toed shoes are required for the following tasks: Operating Powered Industrial Equipment, Working in an Area where Powered Industrial Equipment is in use, Fleet Maintenance, Working with Palletized Product, Use of Hand Trucks/Dollies to Deliver Product, Cooler Services, etc.
