Primary Duties / Responsibilities

• Perform daily inspections of assigned vehicle to ensure safe operation and compliance with company standards.
• Collect, transport, and deliver regulated medical waste, sharps containers, non-hazardous pharmaceutical waste, and other approved waste streams between customer locations and treatment facilities.
• Review manifests, tracking documents, container labeling, and shipping paperwork for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Verify that waste containers are properly packaged, labeled, and closed prior to transportation.
• Provide excellent customer service while servicing healthcare facilities, laboratories, pharmacies, research facilities, and other customers.
• Aid with loading, unloading, and movement of waste containers using appropriate equipment and safe work practices.
• Report vehicle issues, incidents, accidents, customer concerns, or compliance issues to management promptly.
• Maintain required transportation records, inspection reports, route documentation, and company paperwork.
• Aid with facility housekeeping, container staging, and other operational support activities as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
• Prior 26ft box truck driving experience required.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations related to transportation of regulated medical waste preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing manifests and shipping documents.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and customer locations.
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information

• Hourly Pay: $26 to $28 per hour.
