About the role
Non-CDL Driver position requiring occasional labor-intensive work, including lifting requirements of 75 pounds or more. Works in accordance with Ecowaste Solutions Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA requirements, and all local, state, and federal laws.
Responsibilities
- Drive pick-up truck with trailer for deliveries and pick-ups.
- Immediately report all unsafe situations or service-related issues to Route Manager or Dispatch.
- Attend and participate in all scheduled training programs, briefings, and meetings as required.
- Manually or mechanically load and empty residential and/or commercial containers into truck, including curbside, dockside, carryout, or pullout service.
- Operate hoisting device to lift and empty bins or containers into truck hopper.
- Assist driver with all backing maneuvers while on route.
- Notify Route Manager of any incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Notify Route Manager or Dispatch of service interruptions (e.g., closed or impassable streets, heavy receptacles, or safety hazards).
- Communicate customer requests to Dispatch or Route Manager.
- Perform all duties as scheduled by Route Manager or Dispatch and assist other drivers as needed.
- Clean and prepare job sites.
- Pick and sort materials using tools and machines such as forklifts, power drills, grinders, saws, and pressure washers.
- Identify and sort materials for proper organization.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Unload customer material by hand.
- Assemble and disassemble containers.
- Drive and deliver containers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 10–12 hour shifts. Additional hours may be needed.
