Non-CDL Driver

About the Role

The Helper performs duties and operations to assist drivers in completing customer routes, focusing on exceptional customer service and adhering to health and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Loads and empties residential and/or commercial containers into the truck manually or mechanically.
• Maneuvers containers staged curbside, dockside, carryout, or requiring pullout to complete service.
• Operates hoisting devices to lift and empty bins or containers into the truck hopper.
• Returns all serviced bins to their original locations, upright with covers replaced.
• Assists the driver with backing maneuvers while on route.
• Loads trash and recycling into a rear-load truck in fluctuating weather conditions.
• Lifts 50 pounds constantly throughout the day, maintaining stamina for this physically demanding role.
• Maintains a safe working environment.
• Communicates professionally with customers and employees.
• Participates in training and learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Physical ability to lift 50 lbs constantly and work in various weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding relationship management and customer service skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proven work ethic and commitment to safety.
• Successful completion of pre-employment testing, including a drug screen.

Pay

Hiring Range: $18-20/hourly
