About the role

The Non-CDL Delivery Driver will professionally operate equipment to deliver auto parts, soap, and packaged products to customers. The driver will fulfill salespersons communication to add/remove inventory, set min/max of inventory, as well as organization of products.

Responsibilities

  • Own your safety. Support safety culture with everything you do in your daily work.
  • Provide excellent customer service on behalf of Ascentek.
  • Build relationships with customers through friendly attitude when delivering.
  • Safely transport, unload, and deliver accurate and quality bulk and package and equipment to customers on time.
  • Maintains strip/tag label system.
  • Use handheld electronics and applications to track deliveries to multiple customer sites daily, maintain ELD, utilize Samsara forward and driver-facing camera system.
  • Maintain interior cleanliness of trucks along with delivery system equipment to maintain a highly reliable, professional-looking delivery vehicle.
  • Rotates and cleans products and shelving.
  • Possible collection of funds.
  • Communicates with salesperson/office about any customer needs.
  • Help pull orders, put away stock, and make quick deliveries.
  • Proactively communicate with Driver Managers/Dispatch on improvement opportunities in the field to make tomorrow a little bit better than today.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid Driver’s License, with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of auto parts and/or automotive industry preferred.
  • Display willingness to learn, maintain quality company image, and be detail oriented.
  • Good decision making and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong ability to communicate with multiple parties in a project to maintain flow.
  • Understand and maintain an excellent customer service attitude and appearance.
  • Be a self-starter, be able to plan and execute multi-step/multi-day assignments.

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to sit, walk, twist, squat, recline, climb, kneel, grasp, push, pull, reach, repetitive motion.
  • This is a physical job requiring frequent walking, and the ability to get in and out of the truck several times a day.
  • Must have the ability to perform basic math—including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
  • Ability to operate a lift gate and barrel dolly when required.
  • Ability to safely move packaged goods weighing up to 75 pounds and 30 – 55-gallon drums—weighing up to 500 lbs.
  • Other equipment that may be utilized are electric pallet jacks, lift gates, and other PIT as needed.

  • Extreme cold or heat, noise, vibration.
  • Exposure to dust, gas, fumes, steam, chemicals.
  • Work outdoors, work at heights, working around moving machinery.
  • Walking on uneven ground, PPE required.
  • This position requires the driver to be in attendance during the entire process working in various weather conditions while loading and unloading the truck along with making deliveries.
  • Exposed to various chemical and fluids.

Pay

The anticipated hiring range for this role is between $18 and $25 hourly. This range is based on several factors, including experience and qualifications, education and certifications, market and industry benchmarks, and internal equity.
