Job Description
The Nocturnist Hospitalist will provide overnight inpatient care, admissions, and clinical support for neurosurgical patients. This role is essential to maintaining continuity of care, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the neurosurgery team during night hours.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct overnight inpatient care for neurosurgery patients at JHN
- Perform admissions, medical management, and cross-coverage
- Collaborate with neurosurgery residents, advanced practice providers, and attending neurosurgeons
- Ensure high-quality, evidence-based patient care with a focus on safety and outcomes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Previous hospitalist or nocturnist experience preferred
- Strong interest in academic medicine and multidisciplinary collaboration
