Join Jefferson Health New Jersey’s nocturnist team, providing dedicated overnight inpatient care in our South Jersey acute care hospitals. This role involves 11–12 twelve-hour shifts per month (7 p.m.–7 a.m.), offering a supportive and sustainable work schedule. Responsibilities

• Evaluate and admit patients from the ED, conduct night rounds, and manage care for previously admitted patients.
• Provide backup to APPs, assist with ICU needs including rapid responses and Code Blue events.
• (Optional Academic Track) Supervise residents and support triage and admissions for teaching teams—three nocturnists typically cover each night.
• Coordinate effectively with interdisciplinary teams (nursing, specialists, social work) and ensure comprehensive transitions at shift change.
• Maintain thorough charting of histories, physicals, daily notes, and plans of care, ensuring compliance and accurate comorbidity coding.
