About the role
Under the oversight of the Regional Assistant Dean and the Assistant Director of Clinical Education, the RAC Coordinator ensures a seamless clinical educational experience for students. You’ll collaborate with the Regional Assistant Dean and the Office of Clinical Education to provide administrative support, coordinate schedules and evaluations, and work closely with preceptors. This role also involves participating in program-related recruitment activities.
Responsibilities
- Preceptor recruitment, branding, and networking of Burrell College at relevant hospital and clinical entities
- Recruitment, record keeping, and reporting of preceptor relationships to the Office of Clinical Education
- Ensure proper, current, and relevant credentialing documents are in place
- Coordinate and facilitate the completion of affiliation agreements
- Develop and organize RAC Day at the main campus
- Facilitate the setup of the regional office for the Coordinator and Regional Assistant Dean
- Attend regularly scheduled team meetings
- Provide administrative support, including answering telephones, assisting students, employees, and visitors, and resolving administrative inquiries
- Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements
- Serve as a liaison between hospitals/clinics and the main Burrell College campus
- Collect and analyze data from multiple sources and prepare reports
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials and strategies, and assist in planning program activities and outreach functions
- Advise students on academic program policies, accessibility, and facilitate spoke housing options
- Serve as a subject matter resource to other departments and represent the unit/department
- Develop and distribute third- and fourth-year schedules in cooperation with the Office of Clinical Education
- Oversee and coordinate regional student rotations at the Regional Academic Center
- Manage the evaluation process of students, faculty, and rotations at the Regional Academic Center
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong ability to organize information
- Ability to handle sensitive information with absolute confidentiality
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to make decisions independently or escalate issues as needed
- Marketing and networking experience are assets
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or three to five years of related experience, preferably in a healthcare and/or education setting
- Personal cell phone is required
Working Conditions
- This job is conducted in an office work environment
- Approximately 90% of duties require the use of a computer
- Must be able to exert up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally
- The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal
- Travel is required; eligible for mileage reimbursement for required travel
Schedule
- Typically, Monday through Friday, 8 am–5 pm
- Occasionally requires evenings and weekends for special events
