About the role
The NIH OBSSR Fellowship is a postdoctoral research opportunity aimed at using behavioral and social sciences research to inform artificial intelligence practices in health research policy and administration.
Responsibilities
- Conduct landscape reviews to explore current knowledge on how behavioral research can inform AI applications in health contexts.
- Develop conceptual frameworks, evidence gap maps, and research agendas that advance understanding in this field.
- Collaborate with external experts and federal partners to exchange ideas and contribute to shared goals in advancing the integration of AI and behavioral science.
- Engage with stakeholders across federal and private sectors to enhance professional networks and gain insights into the broader applications of their research.
- Gain valuable experience in the intersection of behavioral sciences and AI by participating in guided research and collaborating with OBSSR staff and leadership.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older at the time of application.
- Must have received a doctoral degree in a relevant field within the last five years of the appointment start date.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizens, Lawful Permanent Residents (LPR), and foreign nationals eligible under the guidelines for non-U.S. citizens.

Schedule
