Nighttime Team Member (Shifts after 4pm)

About the role

A Potbelly Associate’s job is to help customers enjoy lunch again. As the primary point of customer contact, you’ll provide fast, friendly, and efficient service while delivering a quality and consistent product every time in a clean and inviting environment.

Responsibilities

• Work multiple stations (load, dress, shakes, cash, prep, front) as directed by a Shift Leader or Manager
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness, and safety
• Restock food line, chips, and cooler
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, ice cream, etc.) efficiently
• Use the automatic slicer to prep food items (if 18 or older)
• Clean tables, counters, floors, bathrooms, kitchen, and utensils; take out trash
• Operate cash register: handle, balance, and follow all cash handling procedures
• Effectively handle customer complaints/issues
• Take delivery, catering, and pickup orders over the phone
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age
• Friendly, customer-first mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working in a bustling kitchen environment (knife skills are a plus)
• Able to manage potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, seafood, and shellfish
• Team player
• Able to stand/walk a minimum of 3 hours or as needed
• Able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Illinois employees must become food safety certified within 30 days of employment

Pay

Earn between $15.25 and $15.75 per hour plus digital tips.

Schedule

Evening and night shifts starting after 4 pm.
