About the role
The 2nd Shift Warehouse employee is responsible for ensuring the correct product is picked and loaded on delivery trucks. This includes performing warehouse duties such as load picking and building, inventory handling, and accurately completing Warehouse Management System (WMS) transactions using approved handheld technology.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts and/or walk-rider equipment as required and maintain all necessary certifications to safely operate such equipment
- Build, load, and unload delivery trucks in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with established procedures
- Ensure proper stock rotation is maintained in the warehouse and on delivery vehicles
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the facility and assigned work areas
- Prepare damaged product for repack in accordance with company policy
- Perform routine care and general maintenance of equipment to support safe operation
- Participate in required training and continuing education programs
- Maintain a working knowledge of the company’s product portfolio, including brands, packages, styles, and categories
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience with material delivery or distribution
- Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with other employees
- Comfortable in a fast-paced dynamic environment
- Understanding of company objectives
- Ability to maintain the highest level of customer service in all aspects of the job
- Knowledge of company product portfolio, including brands, packages, styles, and categories
- Ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
Qualifications
- Physical demands include a considerable amount of time walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping
- Must be able to frequently lift, lower, push, carry, or pull up to 48 pounds
- Must be able to regularly sit and operate machinery such as a forklift, pallet jacks, and battery change stations
