About the role

The Freezer Warehouse Trainee position is a full-time, entry-level role. Trainees will learn aspects of warehousing through formal training and on-the-job experience, including operating material handling equipment such as mid-rider pallet jacks and forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Select customer orders using electronic technology and physical product handling
• Load and unload product from transportation equipment
• Safely operate material handling equipment
• Repetitively lift and stack product
• Work until the job is complete

Schedule

• 5 days on, 2 days off (Sunday–Friday, with 1 midweek day and Saturdays off)
• Overnight shift with no set end time—shift ends when all work is complete
• Be prepared to work 10–12+ hour shifts

Sign-On Bonus

Receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus: $500 paid after 90 days of successful employment, and $500 paid after 180 days. Available to new hires only, subject to successful completion of employment milestones and company policies.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must pass drug screen and physical exam
• High School diploma or GED required

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in all temperature zones (including freezer)
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
• Ability to work through a 10–12+ hour shift
• Must be able to learn the use of electronic technology
• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrists, hands, feet, and legs
• Ability to repetitively lift and stack
• Must be able to lift 30–60 lbs repetitively and heavier items up to 100 lbs occasionally
• Must be able to bend at the waist, stoop to reach, and squat to lift heavy items properly and operate lift-assisting devices
• Ability to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts
• Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
• Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions
