Night Warehouse Shipping Manager

About the role

This is a hands-on, working manager position at Loffredo Fresh Foods, a local, family-owned food and produce distributor with over 130 years of service to the Midwest region. Reporting to the General Manager, the Night Warehouse Manager supervises a team of warehouse employees and is responsible for assigning tasks, ensuring proper usage of resources, and assisting with shipping/receiving, loading/unloading, and merchandise checking.

Responsibilities

• Assign tasks to warehouse employees as necessary
• Assist with shipping/receiving, loading and unloading of trucks
• Check-in merchandise
• Interview potential new team members
• Manage a team of warehouse employees
• Implement processes and procedures and hold employees accountable to follow them
• Complete scheduling for shifts
• Implement food safety practices throughout the warehouse
• Perform basic math calculations and work in a fast-paced environment
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and follow safety guidelines
• Ensure the warehouse is accessible and safe for company personnel and LFF visitors
• Read pick tickets and/or requisitions to select and assemble product for customer orders
• Stand and walk for extended periods, push/pull, lift/carry, or exert force up to 75 lbs. or more
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as required

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred with 2-4 years of related experience
• Previous Warehouse Management System (WMS) experience required
• 3+ years of management experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret company documents, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Ability to perform basic math calculations
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly growing distribution environment
• Must obtain licensure to operate warehouse equipment within the first 30 days

Pay

$65,000 - $80,000 depending on qualifications

Schedule

Days Working: Sunday – Thursday (Friday coverage as needed)
Days Off: Friday & Saturday
Hours Working: 4 PM till complete
