Night Warehouse Manager
About the role
The Manager, Warehouse position at US Foods is responsible for ensuring a warehouse culture focused on safety, service, and cost efficiency. This role oversees personnel and drives efficient warehouse operations, engaging and retaining associates while adhering to US Foods' core values.
Responsibilities
- Lead with a safety mindset to ensure all associates remain injury-free.
- Oversee and develop warehouse associates through coaching, training, and problem resolution.
- Create and maintain a safety-first culture by championing safety procedures and training.
- Direct and supervise warehouse associates, ensuring efficient workflow and accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitor operational information and take corrective actions to improve productivity and safety.
- Manage dock locations for inbound carriers and ensure proper product placement according to food safety and FIFO processes.
- Inspect the warehouse for safety hazards and either resolve them or report them to the safety manager.
- Ensure the physical condition of the warehouse and its equipment is maintained.
- Implement and follow Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and FSQA requirements.
- Identify sources of inventory shrink and develop an action plan to reduce costs.
- Regularly analyze operations to recommend improvements in expense and cost control.
- Work with operations management to schedule working shifts using appropriate planning tools.
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of experience in warehouse distribution.
- Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
- Broad knowledge of warehouse operations, methods, and procedures.
- Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
- Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP, and other regulatory requirements.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
- Travel: 10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.
- HACCP certification a plus.
- PCQI certification a plus.

Pay
Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state or local minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $60,000 - $95,000.
