NIGHT WARDEN

Do you have a passion for supporting older adults and ensuring their safety and well-being overnight? We are looking for a compassionate and responsible Night Warden to join our team at Jewish Care. This post is working 6 nights, 24 hours a week, over a three-week rota Overtime is available. About The Role As a Night Warden, you will provide overnight support, security, and peace of mind to tenants living in our independent sheltered housing. You will ensure the building remains safe, respond to emergencies, and provide a reassuring presence throughout the night. What You’ll Be Doing Checking on tenants’ well-being and responding to calls for assistanceActing as the first point of contact in case of emergencies, including fire alarms and medical incidentsEnsuring security and safety of the building, including locking communal areas and monitoring accessRecording and reporting incidents, building issues, and tenant concernsSupporting tenants with any minor issues while promoting their independence What We’re Looking For Experience in lone working, security, or a care-related roleKnowledge of health & safety procedures, emergency response, and risk assessmentCompassionate, calm under pressure, and able to handle sensitive situations professionallyBasic IT and record-keeping skillsHealth & Social Care Level 2 qualification (or willingness to work towards it) Apply today!
