Summary
Delivers and picks up parts and equipment for the dealership.
Essential Duties
- Pick up truck from dealership and drive to Raleigh.
- Pick up loaded truck from dealership at 4:30 PM and drive to Raleigh.
- Responsible for delivery of COD envelope.
- Unload truck in Raleigh at the Co‑Op Warehouse.
- Return to Wilmington to drop off truck around 12:30 AM.
- Manage basic maintenance of the truck, including filling the tank with gas, checking oil and differential fluid, keeping it clean, and ensuring required inspections are performed.
- Advise parts manager if delivery trucks need major repairs and maintenance.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one or small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Clean driving record for the last three years.
- Position can be full‑time or part‑time depending on qualified candidate.
