Night Shift Support Worker

About the role

Cornwall Park residential care home in Newton Stewart has an exciting recruitment opportunity for contracted night shift support workers.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and assistance to individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities
• Aid in daily living activities such as personal hygiene and meal times
• Encourage participation in community activities and social events
• Offer emotional support and companionship
• Maintain accurate records of services provided and any changes in the individual's condition
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the individual's needs are met

Requirements

• Good IT skills, necessary for recording all work on a handheld device
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• A compassionate and patient demeanour
• The ability to adapt to changing situations and handle challenging behaviors

Training

Your training will be conducted online where you will complete mandatory courses upon starting your role, and there will also be internal training sessions.
