About the role
Operate state-of-the-art plastic extrusion equipment to produce high-quality specialty films.
Work in a collaborative environment, monitoring production quality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and participating in comprehensive training programs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure plant operates safely and enforce safety protocols.
- Manage a shift of employees by assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities, and training staff.
- Motivate and support production staff, ensuring quality and operational efficiency.
- Conduct performance evaluations and make recommendations regarding assigned staff.
- Oversee shift operations to maintain lean production and meet schedules.
- Perform daily audits and report any issues promptly.
- Promote continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, pull, and lift throughout a 12-hour period (lift limit is 65 lbs).
- Pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Strong communication skills.
- Sound team-based job performance with good interpersonal skills and a decisive focus on the development of others.
Qualifications
- Performs duties in compliance with safety policies and procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude to solve machine problems.
- Maintains good interactions and teamwork with supervisor and co-workers.
- Proven leadership ability.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent job experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Management.
- Lean manufacturing experience preferred.
- Additional education in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Management related fields preferred.
- Three to five years in progressively responsible positions required.
- One to three years of plastic extrusion experience preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Three to five years in leadership experience preferred.
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Pay
$33.00 per hour, dependent on experience. Additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential.
Schedule
Work only 15 days per month with our unique 2-2-3 schedule. Work: Monday & Tuesday – Off: Wednesday & Thursday – Work: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday Off: Monday & Tuesday – Work: Wednesday & Thursday – Off: Friday, Saturday, & Sunday 12-hour static shifts (Nights - 6:00pm – 6:00am)
