About the Role
McLeod Regional Medical Center, a tertiary care center and major referral center in the area, is seeking a motivated Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their team of critical care providers. The medical center features four intensive care units and operates with 24/7 staffing by both physicians and advanced practice providers. This is an opportunity to be part of a multidisciplinary, collegial team with a patient-centered approach.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a master’s degree as a Nurse Practitioner.
- Valid South Carolina RN License as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), verified by the LLR.
- Certification as a Nurse Practitioner by an approved accrediting agency.
- Prescriptive privileges or eligibility to apply.
- Experience in a critical care setting is ideal, though new graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with Service Excellence Standards and Core Values.
- Assists providers in assessing patient needs by reviewing electronic medical records, floor nursing staff reports, and other relevant data from MRMC staff involved in care delivery.
- Performs physical exams within prescribed guidelines and instructions of the physician.
- Orders, interprets, and evaluates diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient clinical problems and healthcare needs.
- Records physical findings, formulates care plans, and discusses cases with physicians to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Addresses patient and family concerns when requested.
- Maintains professional clinical knowledge required for licensure and completes required training according to deadlines.
- Fulfills job responsibilities as outlined in the competency document.
