Night Shift - Machine Operator

Required Skills

• One (1) year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but will train if necessary
• Possess basic computer skills
• Experience using hand-measurement tools is preferred
• Experience operating CNC machines is preferred
• Accurately read a tape line
• High School diploma/GED required

Responsibilities and Duties

• Must have experience using plasma and oxygen fuel
• Knowledge of operation the operation of a CNC machine
• Follow safe operating and lifting procedures for overhead cranes
• Operate forklifts according to safe operating procedures
• Bring in and remove various sizes, thickness and shapes of steel parts
• Maintains safe operations of all machines by adhering to company and OSHA safety policies and procedures
• Maintains equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements
• Monitor the machine to ensure that it is running at maximum performance
• Detect and report all machine malfunctions
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs
• Adjust machine as needed

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to constantly work in various indoor and outdoor conditions including hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions
• Must be able to lift a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally
• Must be able to carry a maximum weight up to 20 lbs. frequently; 50 lbs. occasionally
• Frequent standing, walking, reaching forward, balancing, feeling, object handling, simple hand grasping, firm hand grasping, and operating controls will be required
• Sitting, climbing stairs and ladders, reaching overhead, stooping, and crouching will be required
• Must be able to properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment
