Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) care for long term care residents
- Taking and monitoring patient vital signs
- Aiding patients with eating, dressing, and bathing
- Preparing patients for transfers or discharge
- Offering emotional support and education about treatments and procedures
- Complying to all regulatory protocols and policies related to infection control and nursing care
- Observing patient diet restrictions as prescribed by the physician
- Aiding in the provision of emergency care
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by South Dakota required
- BLS certification from the AHA required
