About the Role
The Night Shift Floater will support the team at our Production Facility in Albany, NY. The ideal candidate has hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in cannabis, and is willing to work long hours. Attention to detail, knowledge of quality control, and adherence to SOPs are crucial. Strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, and a passion for the cannabis industry are essential for success.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of lab processes and packaging, including but not limited to:
- Packaging, washing, filling, pressing
- Formulating, solventless extraction, hydrocarbon extraction, post-processing, winterization, filtration, rotary evaporation, and distillation
- Maintain freeze dryers
- Clean and perform preventive maintenance on all equipment, tools, and work areas
- Escalate technical issues related to processes or equipment to a Supervisor
- Maintain safe and efficient production, working with delicate and expensive equipment
- Maintain accurate records for all production phases using paper logs, electronic logs, METRC/Biotrack track-and-trace, and Odoo ERP
- Meet or exceed production goals with few to no errors
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move more than 40 pounds regularly throughout the workday
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Requirements
- Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures
- 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or production environment
- Receptive to feedback and continuous learning
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM - 11:00 PM (5 days per week on-site in the lab)
Pay
$25.00 to $27.00 per hour
