Night Shift Diesel technician - Cicero, NY

About the role

Servicing delivery vans and DOT vehicles for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site
Perform line technician services such as oil changes and tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, and tire installation
Advanced repairs and state inspections

Responsibilities

• Servicing delivery vans and DOT vehicles for scheduled preventative maintenance at a client site
• Perform line technician services such as oil changes and tire services, routine inspections/maintenance, system diagnostics, brake repairs, fluid exchanges/flushes, preventative maintenance, and tire installation
• Advanced repairs and state inspections
• Training for this role may take place in a customer retail environment prior to working on the client site

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Diesel Technician, performing diagnostics, repairs, preventative maintenance, and inspections on diesel vehicles/equipment.
• Must possess a valid State Inspector Certification.
• Experience with DOT-regulated inspections, brake systems, and preventative maintenance.
• DOT Brake Certification is required, or the willingness to obtain it within 30 days of hire (we'll help you get it).
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet DOT physical requirements, including being at least 21 years of age.
• Able to diagnose and repair diesel engines, electrical systems, suspension, and brake systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• ASE Certification (s)
• Previous experience diagnosing vehicles and performing road tests, electrical, air conditioning, and primary and advanced fuel ignition experience

Pay

$26–$30/hr + Weekly Pay

Schedule

4-Day Work Week: 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM
5-Day Work Week: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
