We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Caregivers, CNAs, and HHAs for Awake Night Shift positions in the Orange Park and Middleburg areas. About The Awake Night Shift This is an awake overnight position. Caregivers must remain awake, alert, and attentive for the entire scheduled shift to provide care, supervision, assistance, and support to the client as needed. Night shift responsibilities may include assisting clients with overnight needs, personal care, mobility, toileting, repositioning, companionship, safety monitoring, and documenting changes in the client's condition. Sleeping while on duty is not permitted during an Awake Night Shift. What Does a Night Shift Caregiver Do? Remain awake, alert, and available throughout the entire scheduled shift. Provide companionship and reassurance to clients during overnight hours. Assist with toileting, mobility, repositioning, dressing, and other activities of daily living. Assist with bathing and personal care as needed. Monitor client safety and respond appropriately to changes or needs during the night. Prepare light meals or snacks when required. Engage in calm and meaningful conversation when clients are awake. Assist with maintaining a safe and comfortable environment. Document completed activities and report updates regarding the client's physical condition, mental capacity, behavior, or other concerns. Caregiver Qualifications Ability and willingness to remain awake and attentive for the entire overnight shift. Minimum Of 6 Months Of Caregiving Experience Preferred. CNA or HHA certification welcomed. Current in-person CPR certification required. Passion for helping others and serving the community. Strong communication and customer service skills. Reliable transportation. Dependable, professional, and able to work independently. Ability to pass a Level II background screening. Service Areas Senior Helpers West Jacksonville serves Duval, Clay, Nassau, Baker, and St. Johns Counties. This position specifically focuses on clients in and around Orange Park, Middleburg, Oakleaf, Argyle, and surrounding communities. We work to place caregivers with clients close to where they live whenever possible. Background Screening Requirement This position requires Level II background screening through Florida's Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
