Night Shift Assistant Operator

About the role

Night Shift Assistant Operator supports extrusion operations of thermoplastic Polypropylene, PVC, Polyethylene & Co-Polymer sheets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and transport pallets for production orders
• Check quality & weigh, etc.
• Label, Count, Weigh, Band and Transport Finish Goods
• Provide operators with packing supplies per production order documentation
• Organize and clean area around assigned 'Line(s)'
• Support operators breaks and provide support with other tasks as requested/needed
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, free of hazards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
• Demonstrated ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-workers and departments
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

Skills

• Certified and maintain certification through an OSHA approved forklift, HAZWOP, RCRA, Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous certification, and Crane operation certification
• Frequent lifting or with other means for movement of boxes or pans
• Exposure to a typical manufacturing areas where under certain conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment such as Safety Glasses with Side Shields and mandatory hearing protection
