About the role
The Night Manager provides the after-hours management presence in coordination with or in the absence of the onsite Property Manager. Responsibilities include securing common areas after-hours, responding to emergencies, and enforcing house rules.
Responsibilities
- Responds to after-hours property emergencies on company-issued cell phone.
- Performs light maintenance or janitorial duties as needed.
- Exercises discretion to call for other staff or 911 for help in emergencies.
- Directs emergency personnel and records incidents.
- Enforces quiet hours and house rules.
- Works with security personnel and/or Property Manager to report violations.
- Posts notices and coordinates with vendors/contractors for on-site work.
- Submits weekly logs and reports to the Property Manager.
- Attends staff meetings and community meetings as required.
- Adheres to house rules and unit inspection requirements.
Requirements
- Ability to climb 4 flights of stairs daily.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm in emergency situations.
- Ability to interpret instructions and de-escalate situations.
- Property management experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Ability to climb 4 flights of stairs at least once per day.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents or employees of the organization.
- Ability to stay calm in emergency situations and de-escalate situations with agitated residents.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
Skills

Benefits
The Night Manager receives a reduced rent on-site large one-bedroom apartment unit as compensation for their responsibilities. The reduction of rent will be considered stipend income for tax purposes.
Pay
$15.65-$17.22 hourly.
Schedule
This is a Part Time, On Call/Relief position working up to 16 hours per week.
