Shift: Nighttime - 7:00pm through 12:30am

About the role

We’re hiring Custodians to help keep things clean and running smoothly. No prior experience is required—we’ll train you and ensure you feel confident every step of the way.

A Day in the Life of a Janitor/Custodian at CW Resources:

• Start your day by checking in with your supervisor and teammates to review the cleaning plan and daily tasks.
• Gather cleaning supplies—such as mops, brooms, vacuums, and disinfectants—and prepare for your shift.
• At your assigned area, you’ll perform tasks including:
  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors
  • Taking out trash and replacing liners
  • Cleaning restrooms, refilling supplies, and wiping down surfaces (tables, chairs, doors, etc.)
  • Dusting furniture, shelves, and vents
  • Cleaning windows, mirrors, and glass doors
• Conduct a final walkthrough to ensure the area is clean and tidy.
• Return tools and supplies to storage and prepare for the next shift.

Physical & Environmental Demands

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and reaching to clean and maintain areas
• Repetitive motions such as mopping, sweeping, wiping, and scrubbing surfaces
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull cleaning equipment and supplies weighing up to 25-30 pounds regularly
• Navigating stairs, ramps, or uneven flooring while carrying tools or supplies
• Primarily indoor work in commercial buildings with varying temperature and lighting conditions
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, disinfectants, and solvents (training and PPE provided)
• Possible exposure to dust, dirt, allergens, and other indoor environmental factors
• May encounter biohazardous materials or bodily fluids with proper safety protocols and PPE
• Working in confined or awkward spaces (e.g., under sinks, behind furniture, or inside equipment areas)
• Noise from vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and other cleaning machinery (hearing protection provided when necessary)
