Night Crew Supervisor
Position Summary
The Night Crew Supervisor is responsible for supporting overnight store operations by leading stocking, merchandising, inventory replenishment, and store recovery efforts. This position helps ensure shelves are fully stocked, displays are maintained to company standards, and the store is prepared for daily business operations.
Key Responsibilities
Afford assistance in overseeing nightly stocking and replenishment activities throughout the store.
Ensure merchandise is stocked, faced, and merchandised according to company standards and planograms.
Maintain department conditions to maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready sales floor.
Collaborate with the coordination of product movement from the backroom to the sales floor.
Support store recovery efforts and preparation for opening operations.
Ensure timely completion of all assigned stocking and operational tasks.
Inventory Management
Monitor inventory levels and assist with maintaining in-stock conditions.
Support receiving, storage, and replenishment processes.
Ensure proper product rotation and stock handling procedures.
Assist with inventory counts and inventory accuracy initiatives.
Help reduce shrink through attention to product handling and inventory controls.
Leadership & Team Development
Assist with training, coaching, and developing Night Crew associates.
Assign daily responsibilities and monitor work completion.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and operational efficiency.
Support a positive work environment focused on productivity and customer readiness.
Provide leadership coverage in the absence of the Night Crew Manager.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
Promote safe lifting, stocking, and equipment operation practices.
Maintain clean aisles, work areas, backrooms, and storage locations.
Report and address safety concerns promptly.
Ensure all operational activities meet company and regulatory standards.
Customer Service
Provide courteous and professional service to customers shopping during overnight and early morning hours.
Assist customers with locating products and answering questions.
Contribute to a positive shopping experience through excellent store conditions and product availability.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous grocery, retail, stocking, warehouse, or merchandising experience preferred.
Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of inventory management and merchandising principles.
Ability to prioritize tasks and lead a team effectively.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and climbing.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to push, pull, and maneuver pallets, carts, and stocking equipment.
Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
