Night Cleaner - Schools
About the role
Join Platinum Cleaning & Facility Services (PCFS), a division of Healthcare Services Group, Inc., as a Night Cleaner, where you will oversee janitorial cleaning and facilities maintenance operations at your assigned school site.
Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial tasks in classrooms, entryways, hallways, stairwells, elevators and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, floors, and commodes, replenishing lavatory supplies as needed.
- Remove trash, empty wastebaskets.
- Use cleaning solutions safely, adhering to all safety precautions.
- Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.
- Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.
- Ensure customer service and cleaning standards are consistently met.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a commercial setting is preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.
- Must complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.
- Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily.
- Ability to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds.
- Ability to work around food and cleaning products.
