Responsibilities
- Oversee nightly operations including safety, quality, productivity, equipment management, and subcontractor management.
- Mentor and coach foremen and crew members, ensuring they comply with company policies and procedures.
- Document and implement corrective measures for safety violations.
- Lead safety meetings and inspect work areas to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, and crafts to manage crews and subcontractors effectively.
- Assist in jobsite setup and resolve construction issues to maintain project schedules.
- Communicate with other departments to ensure materials and equipment support craft activities and project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with local union or prevailing wage rules and maintain up-to-date knowledge of project contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders.
- Manage liaison with other departments and report directly to the Project Manager.
Qualifications
- At least 10 years of heavy civil construction experience, with at least 5 years in management roles.
- OSHA-30 Certification required.
- Familiarity with union labor laws and previous experience with Caltrans and Metro projects.
- Strong knowledge of drawing and specification reading.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and strong communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions, work independently, and coordinate with colleagues.

Pay
The base salary for this position ranges from USD $155,000.00 to USD $185,000.00 per year, depending on experience and performance. OHLA USA is an equal opportunity employer and offers a comprehensive benefits package.
