About the Role

Registered Nurses in the NICU provide the highest quality of care to our diverse patient population. Our NICU team has a strong quality improvement focus, and our nurses are always developing unique solutions for their patients. As a NICU nurse, you will play an integral role in delivering exceptional care using our patient-centered care model within a supportive nursing organization.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional nursing care, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
  • Communicate with healthcare team members, patients, and their families.
  • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
  • Update and manage patient records.
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
  • Follow guidelines and policies established by the nursing organization.
  • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.

Requirements

  • Licensed to practice professional nursing as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) certification required within 90 days of hire (offered during orientation).
  • Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) Intermediate or Advanced Certification required within 8 weeks of hire.
  • 1 year of NICU experience required; 2 years of level 3 NICU experience preferred.
  • Experience with electronic health records preferred.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Physical ability to meet job responsibilities.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Fluency in another language is a plus.

Pay

Compensation range: $39.80 - $93.69 per hour. This range offers an estimate based on minimum job qualifications. Base pay is determined by a comprehensive approach considering education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to position requirements.

Schedule

Night shift, with every 3rd weekend required.
