About the role
Loftis Middle School is a grades 6–8 school located in Hixson, Tennessee, just north of Chattanooga. At Loftis, our work is grounded in joy, purpose, and a deep commitment to keeping students at the center of every decision we make. Responsibilities
- Non‑faculty Coaches and Classified Employee Coaches must complete the NFHS “Fundamentals of Coaching” and “First Aid, Health, & Safety for Coaches” courses prior to assuming the position.
- Coaches who have successfully completed the ASEP Coaches Education Course prior to May 15, 2013, will not be required to take the NFHS courses.
- Per State Law, School‑Level AD should keep a concussion certificate on file each year. (tssaa.org/health-safety-policies)
- School‑Level AD should keep a Sudden Cardiac Arrest certificate on file each year.
- Per TSSAA/TMSAA guidelines, when applicable, maintain a copy on file of completion of “Fundamentals of Coaching.” (tssaa.org/health-safety-policies)
- When applicable, maintain a copy on file of completion of “First Aid, Health, & Safety.”
- When applicable, complete the “NFHS Heat Illness Prevention” course and keep a copy on file each year. (NFHS Heat Illness Prevention)
