Brief Description Kelly Benefits in Sparks, MD is offering a part-time Fall/Winter Internship to support the IT team focusing on: Cloud & Serverless Development: Assist in building and optimizing microservices and serverless architectures hosted on AWS.Next-Gen Enhancements: Contribute to 2.0 feature development, API integrations, and intuitive UI/UX components for our client and employee portals.Data & Analytics Integration: Collaborate on data pipeline tasks and support smart analytics and AI-driven decisioning tools designed to streamline benefits administration.Agile & DevSecOps Practices: Participate in daily Agile standups, sprint planning, unit testing, and code reviews while keeping security standards (NIST 800-53 framework) at the forefront.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with senior engineers, AI teams, and security specialists to solve real-world technical challenges. In This Experience You Will Gain Mentorship: Direct mentorship from seasoned software architects and tech leaders driving digital transformation.Skill Advancement: Hands-on exposure to cloud architecture, DevSecOps pipelines, modern enterprise software design, and AI/data tools.Culture & Community: Engage in executive meet-and-greets, intern cohort events, and community outreach projects. This is a part-time seasonal opportunity from November through April. You'll work 15 to 25 hours per week on a flexible schedule, coordinated around business needs and your availability. This is an on-site requirement at 1 Kelly Way, Sparks MD. General corporate hours are Monday through Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Requirements Preferred Qualifications & Skills - Academic Background: Rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.Cloud Knowledge: Foundational understanding of AWS core services (e.g., Lambda, S3, EC2, DynamoDB/RDS, API Gateway) or a strong desire to build cloud-native applications.Programming Skills: Familiarity with modern object-oriented or scripting languages (e.g., Python, C#/.NET, Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, or SQL).Core Concepts: Solid grasp of RESTful APIs, modern web development, source control (Git), and software design principles.Mindset: Proactive problem solver, curious learner, and strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative team environment. Project Management: Demonstrated experience supporting or coordinating projects, including tracking tasks, managing timelines, organizing priorities, and collaborating with team members to help ensure projects stay on schedule. Marketing: Experience or coursework in marketing, communications, or content development, with the ability to assist with promotional initiatives, digital communications, presentations, and other projects that support IT programs and business objectives.
