News Photojournalist

About the role

KVAL is seeking a creative full-time News Photojournalist to join their team. The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of videography experience, strong editing skills, and the ability to produce compelling stories under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Cover breaking news day to day
• General, in-depth features and investigative assignments
• Edit full high definition (HD) footage using non-linear edit systems
• Work closely with the news team to produce high-quality content
• Contribute vertical video for digital platforms
• Be available to cover breaking news on a moment's notice

Requirements and Qualifications

• At least 2 years of videography experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
• Team-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis
• Strong social media skills
