About the role

Shoots sports video and general news video for a Grand Rapids news station. Confers with other personnel to discuss assignments, logistics, and shot requirements.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, composes, and executes video shots
• Maintains video equipment
• Edits video clips for television broadcasts and eMedia content
• Operates live microwave and satellite trucks in remote situations
• Assists executive producer and show producer with aspects of overall show production, including fill-in producing
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills

• High school diploma; some college coursework or vocational training preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Flexibility to work any shift
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Proficiency with video recording equipment
