News Intern (Part-Time), WTVR - 1

WTVR, the Scripps CBS affiliate in Richmond, VA, is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Part-Time Interns for Fall 2026. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in broadcast journalism while working alongside industry professionals passionate about storytelling and serving the community.

About the role

As an Intern at WTVR, you'll be immersed in the fast-paced world of local news, gaining valuable exposure to the industry while developing skills that will set you up for success in your career. Whether you're interested in reporting, producing, digital content, or behind-the-scenes operations, this internship will provide real-world experience beyond the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to the broadcast journalism industry
• Perform assigned duties related to the internship
• Develop skills based on the supported area
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Internships are intended to be positions of limited duration

Pay

Hourly: $15.00

Pursuant to state and local salary transparency laws, the salary range posted is specific to candidates who will perform this work in Virginia.
