News Infrastructure Technician - Reuters

About the role

Reuters is looking for a News Infrastructure Technician to join our team in New York City and support the technology and workflows that power one of the world’s leading news organizations. In this client-facing role, you will provide critical technical support for Reuters’ Editorial operations, working closely with journalists, production teams, engineers, and external partners to ensure reliable, high-quality news coverage and content delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 follow-the-sun technical support for Reuters’ newsroom systems and workflows
• Resolve complex infrastructure issues to maintain uninterrupted editorial operations
• Support live news and event coverage with rapid troubleshooting and escalation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams—journalists, production, engineers, and external partners—to deliver seamless content delivery
• Occasionally travel to support major off-site events and productions
