News Anchor - Reporter (Weekends)

About the role

WLOS/MY40TV is seeking a full‑time Weekend News Anchor / Reporter.

Responsibilities

• Produce daily content for multiple platforms, including the internet and social networks.
• Dig for stories, research them, and write with an edge.
• Use strong storytelling and TV production to make stories impactful and memorable.
• Maintain strong writing skills and up‑to‑date knowledge of current events.
• Demonstrate dynamic live television and storytelling abilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by news managers.

Skills

• Self‑starter capable of generating original story ideas daily.
• Ability to demonstrate enterprise reporting and creativity in storytelling.
• Exemplary communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Maintain an active social media presence to build a personal brand and solicit story ideas.

Requirements

• Previous anchoring experience is required.
• Minimum of three years of on‑air experience.
• Live shot experience is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a team environment is a must.
