Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor and replenish buffet items to ensure a continuous and attractive presentation of food.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the buffet area, including utensils, plates, and serving dishes.
• Aid guests by providing information about food options and accommodating dietary restrictions.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and service.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to communicate inventory needs and special requests.
• Support overall dining operations by assisting with setup and breakdown of the buffet, and assist with ding table bussing.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a food service or hospitality role preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining cleanliness and organization.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with food service equipment and buffet setups.
• Basic understanding of inventory management practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• A positive attitude and a willingness to assist guests and colleagues.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a flexible approach to work.

Requirements

• Successful completion of post-offer background check.
• Able to remain on feet for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend and stoop.
• Physical strength, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation as public bus service is not typically available at the conclusion of most evening events.
