Newborn Hearing Screening Technician

Evaluate and Prioritize Infants

• Screen infants for hearing based on established protocol.
• Consider factors such as time of birth, estimated discharge time, and need for two screenings before discharge.

Experience and Skills

• Two or more years of related hospital or clinic based experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to share information with governing bodies and employees.
• Strong analytic problem-solving skills.
• Organizational skills to manage time efficiently and adapt to changing environments.
• Professional and courteous demeanor with internal and external customers.
• Effective verbal, negotiating, and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle conflict constructively.
• Maintain positive interpersonal relationships with patients, families, physicians, and co-workers.

Qualifications

• AHA BLS certification required upon hire.
• National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management training completed within 6 months of hire.
