New Truck Sales Coordinator - Oklahoma City, OK
About the role
The primary function of this role is to contact customers and prospects regularly to identify potential sales opportunities for new trucks, used trucks, and trailers. The role also involves maintaining a database of existing customers and sales prospects, assisting with sales quotes and assistance, helping rental customers, organizing and maintaining used truck files, entering inventory details on the company website, and following up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Contact customers and prospects to identify potential sales opportunities.
- Maintain a database of existing customers and sales prospects.
- Aid in preparing sales quotes and assisting with sales assistance.
- Help rental customers pick up vehicles when the rental manager is unavailable.
- Organize and maintain used truck files on the dealership's computer database.
- Enter specifications and pictures of used truck inventory on the company website.
- Assist the Sales Manager in gathering information for a monthly production of a direct mail piece.
- Place advertisements for new and used trucks as directed by the Sales Manager.
- Follow up with customers to ensure they are satisfied with their purchases.
- Appraise used trucks for trade-in value when necessary.
- Travel to customers' places of business to assist with the sales process.
- Participate in sales and marketing activities such as surveys, direct mailers, and trade shows.
- Deliver new and used trucks to customers under the supervision of salespeople.
- Maintain the appearance of the new and used truck lots, ensuring proper staging and visibility.
- Coordinate trucks through service or rig-up processes.
- Ensure all sales brochures are up-to-date, available, and displayed.
Requirements
- A minimum high school diploma with at least 2 years of retail sales experience.
- Prioritize experience in heavy duty or medium duty truck sales is preferred.
- Strong organizational and management skills to handle multiple priorities.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Adequate mathematical skills to prepare sales quotes and analyze truck market data.
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with customers and prospects.
- General computer skills are required.
- Physical demands include the ability to tilt the hood of a truck and climb into the cab or onto the frame.

Pay
$42,000 - $50,000 per year.
