New Product/Prototyping Operator
Essential Responsibilities
- Assembles, repairs, upgrades and tests electronic and mechanical components and assemblies.
- Expert knowledge of mechanical assembly technology and electrical circuit diagrams.
- Expert knowledge of soldering and crimping wiring technics and processes.
- Work under the guidance of Product Engineering in a NPI development environment.
- Support development by providing feedback and potential improvements to enhance product production capabilities.
- Provide training for other operators/technicians as product matures into production.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Position Requirements
- Working knowledge of electrical test equipment: Voltmeters and multichannel tester for low-mid voltage and low current.
- Working knowledge of wiring diagrams blue-prints/drawings.
- Working knowledge of blue-print/drawing symbols.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and report out updates to group leads.
- Highly self-motivated, a willingness to make a difference and learn.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with different engineering team members.
- Working knowledge of computer basics.
- Ability to travel to our Nogales Mexico facility for product transfers.
Preferred Knowledge
- Electrical connectors and the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Cable assembly and wired soldering/crimping termination.
- Electrical Cabling terminology and construction knowledge.
